It's that time of year again, when thoughts turn to Christmas, and the male population of the country subject themselves to two months of torment and all because of one question - what shall I get her?!!
Gentlemen - put down that bottle of Chanel, get yourself out of La Senza - some of you were not even looking for presents - and don't even consider another slow cooker. For all the ladies in your life - and that includes female relatives - Leamington RFC has just the gift for you.
Back in August, a dozen brave boys took to the field, bathed in hot sunshine and not a lot else. They preened, they posed, they strutted their stuff and they exposed parts of their anatomy that only their mothers, partners or GP hould see. The end result is the Leamington RFC 2012 calendar. Twelve tastefully shot, humourously posed, quality pictures - photography by Paul Archer, printing by TW Printing- depicting Leamington's finest young talent.
Now when you are considering what to buy the wife, girlfriend, lovers, mother, sister, Aunty Ethel, granny, ladies in the office, then this should really be your first port of call.
But its not just for the ladies. This is a calendar that knows no boundaries. This would look good on the kitchen wall at home. This would be ideally suited to the GP's waiting room - promoting rugby as a means to health and vitality. This would look good anywhere - bars, clubs, gyms, cafes, canteens, staff rooms - all promoting Leamington Rugby Club and Prostate Cancer.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why the guys did it. Arranged by Tasha Yurkwich-Ell, the chaps peeled off to help raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. The calendars cost £10 to buy and a massive £8 from each calendar will go to the Prostate Cancer Charity.
