News date: 03 September 2009
News description: CROFT HANDS DOWN TIPS TO YOUNG HOPEFULS - British Lions and Leicester Tigers star Tom Croft dropped in to Leamington RFC this week to pass on a few tips to local players. Croft, who scored two tries for the Lions in the first test against South Africa in Durban, was the VIP guest player and joined in coaching drills as part of the Leicester Tigers rugby school hosted by Leamington RFC.

The course is a well established event for the development of young players in the local area and this year had over 80 young players in attendance. The appearance of international players such as Tom Croft with their knowledge and experience provides motivation and inspiration to players of all ages, but particularly young players who look up to these guys as genuine heroes" said Tony Timms, Leamington's coaching development officer.
