News title: LUCKY 13 JOIN YOUTH SECTION FIRST AID TEAM
News date: 29 March 2009
News description: Two weeks ago 13 volunteers attended the RFU Sports First Aid Course held at the club. The course involved 6 hrs of first aid training split over two session's. As a club, and particularly a youth section, we take our duty of care very seriously and we are grateful to the parents and coaches who attended, giving up their own time for the benefit of their teams and the club in general.

Special thanks go to Simon and Helen West and Jo Lennon for making a majoe efffort in moving forward our first aid provision. They are assessing our kit requirements and funding options to support the first aid kit required and replenishment of supplies.

The more people that hold a RFU recognised First Aid Course the better it is for our children. The RFU recommend 2 per year group and we need to take into account the same two people may not be present every Sunday, therefore we will look to offer future courses (next season)to keep the number of trained first aiders to required levels.

If any parent / coach is interested in attending a recognised RFUSFAC ( RFU Sports First Aid Course ) please contact Simon West - Mini section, Jo Lennon (U14s)
